En Camino de Santiago por el Camino del Norte cada vez está creciendo más, por ello os dejamos una pequeña guia de la etapa que nos toca, etapa Ribadesella-Colunga.
Empezamos con algunos datos de interés para los Peregrinos:

Lugares para avituallarse: En Vega, Berbes, Espasa, La Isla y Colunga
Observaciones: Etapa sin apenas dificultades, discurriendo gran parte de su trazado a la orilla del Mar Cantábrico lo que permite a los Peregrinos disfrutar de alguno de los escenarios más bonitos de los Caminos del Norte, dicho esto por ellos mismos de la que llegan a nuestro albergue. Por esto y otras cosas el Camino de Santiago por el Camino del Norte cada día tiene más adeptos.
Durante la etapa podremos disfrutar de varias playas, como la de Santa Marina en Ribadesella, Playa de Vega, también perteneciente al concejo de Ribadesella. Las de Moris, los Romeros (la Beciella) y la Espasa (donde está nuestra escuela de surf) pertenecientes al municipio de Caravia y por último las del Barrigón y La Isla de Colunga, en esta última es donde se sitúa nuestro Albergue.
Por lo tanto, pensar en ver 7 playas en sólo 21 kilómetros demuestra el tipo de recorrido que tiene la etapa.
Además de playas hay otras cosas en el camino, por ejemplo el pueblo de Tereñes y sus acantilados a la orilla del mar, con unas vistas impresionantes.
También el pequeño pueblito de Vega junto a la playa, el de Berbes o el de Caravia, tanto la Alta como la Baja.
Por último podemos ver el pueblo de La Isla, donde se encuentra nuestro albergue. La parada obligatoria para dormir es el Marejada Hostel, como no¡¡¡¡, donde además de dormir se puede comer, cenar, desayunar y tomarte una cerveza o un cóctel escuchando buena música en directo.
Dentro del pueblo de La Isla se pueden visitar muchas cosas, como los puentes romanos de Bueño (pequeños pero muy interesantes), situados en el mismo pueblo de Bueño, justo enfrente del pueblo de la Isla, de hecho son casi el mismo.
También es de obligada visita por los peregrinos la Iglesia de Santa María, situada a pocos metros de la playa.
Asimismo las trincheras que se conservan de tiempos de la Guerra Civil Española son muy interesantes de ver.
Incluso si coinciden mareas vivas, en marea baja quizás se puedan ver restos del puerto romano que un día hubo en la playa.
Y cómo no, hay que guardar fuerzas para el día siguiente poder acercarse a la playa de La Griega, en Colunga, a ver las huellas de los dinosaurios que hay en algunas rocas del arenal.
